Subject Coverage
The information below relates to our early years, primary and secondary pupils. See separate section for post 16 curriculum coverage.
Pupils attend a range of lessons each week. Teachers organise their timetables according to the pathway they are in and the needs of their pupils. Lessons last for forty minutes, though pupils will access them according to their levels of engagement. For example, some pupils who are at the earliest stages of engagement will attend to learning for only a few seconds and then ‘need a ‘break’ before they are ready to learn again. Other pupils may be able to engage for much longer periods. The majority of our pupils have MARBL plans (maximising achievement by reducing barriers to learning) which detail the strategies that pupils need in place in order for them to stay regulated and access learning.
